The mission of Records and Registration is to foster student academic progress by ensuring the accuracy and security of student academic records. It will lead the way in the development of efficient policies and procedures and in the innovative use of technology that will better serve our constituents. Records and Registration will support and serve all constituents of Harrisburg University with integrity and respect. It will provide quality customer service in a timely, caring manner and promote competency, effective communication, and a student-focused culture that will engage and serve a variety of student populations.
Records and Registration will:
- Recognize the importance of integrity, respect, and equality for all constituents.
- Administer an efficient scheduling and registration process to deliver Harrisburg University’s curriculum in accordance with its catalog, policies, and regulations.
- Ensure the maintenance and preservation of all student academic records and enrollment data.
- Demonstrate a philosophy of proactive leadership, collaboration, and continual assessment to improve outcomes.

Educational records are kept by HU to facilitate the educational development of students. Faculty and staff members may also keep informal records relating to their administrative, instructional, or research responsibilities.
The Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 identifies the rights of students and their families with respect to student educational records kept by institutions.
